The General Assembly General Assembly is the highest level of the organization. This board is chaired by chairperson who governs Shimautita; and the board is the supreme body responsible for policy formulation and approval of budgets and project work plan, it links Shimautita with other stakeholders outside Shimautita.

Board of Directors This organ consists of 7 members. The Board of Directors formulates proposals relating to policies, decisions and budget for consideration by the General Assembly. It also oversees the proper implementation thereof.  Shimautita is privileged to have on its current Board with experienced and committed members.

• Fundraising activities from various income sources.
• Monitors daily activities of the organization.
• Prepares and approves various policies.

The Director The General assembly appoints the Director. In his/her capacity as the Director, he/she is responsible for the proper execution of the policies, decisions and directives of the governing body of the organization, Finance committee and General Assembly.

FUNCTIONS OF DIFFERENT DEPARTMENTS
Administration Department  Ensuring the administrative activities within an organization run efficiently by providing structure to other employees throughout the organization.

1. Management of office equipment.
2. Maintaining a clean and enjoyable working environment.
3. Handling external or internal communication or management systems.
4. Managing clerical or other administrative staff.
5. Organizing, arranging and coordinating meetings

Finance Department

• Audit accounts, provide financial advice and undertake accounts administration.
• Administering payrolls and controlling income and expenditure.
• Compiling and presenting reports, budgets, organization plans and financial statements.
• Analyzing accounts and organization plans.
• Provide financial advice and undertake accounts administration.

Herbal Remedies Research Department

• Collection and identification of herbal materials, extraction and isolation of compounds from herbs

Prepare plans and reports of the department

• Prepare proposals for the department
• Monitoring departmental activities

ORGANIZATION ARCHIEVEMENT AND CHALLENGES
Achievement The following are the achievements of the organization since its operation.

• Good cooperation with the Governmental officials.
• Strong collaboration with local CBOs/groups to implement organization projects in the village.
• Creation of the organization website  to interact with grant-makers and collaborate with other organizations and people around the world
• Increased awareness for the communities on application of hherbal remedies for treatment of cchronic different diseases including HIV/IDS, Diabetes, Polio, Tuberculosis (TB), Hepatitis, Ulcers, Athma, Epilepsy,
• Mental abnormal, Cancer, Rat bite fever, Whooping cough, chronic Malaria and non-communicable diseases.
• Increased awareness to traditional healers to conduct their work following the Ministry health regulation and code of conduct.

Challenges

• Lack of donor fund to implement the organizations activities as per Strategic Plan 2020 - 2030.
• Lack of office working facilities eg.vehicle to reach a number of the target communities.
• Lack of fund to cover office running cost
• Inadequate fundraising techniques
• Lack of motorcycle for field officers
